Privacy Policy

Bible365 is built around a single principle: your reading is yours. The app is a contemplative reading companion, not an advertising product.

What we collect

Your saved reading progress, highlights, favorites, preferences and translation choice are kept on your device and can sync between your devices through Apple’s iCloud. Bible365 also collects the analytics, subscription and diagnostic information described below.

You do not need to create a Bible365 account. The app analytics described here does not include your entered name, email address, note or reflection text, full verse text, or in-app search queries. The app does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) or display third-party advertisements.

First-party analytics

Our analytics services collect events about app launches, onboarding, screens and features used, reading-plan progress, paywall activity and purchases. Reading events can include Bible book, chapter and verse references, completion counts, and actions involving highlights or notes. They also include app/build information, language and translation settings, time since installation and subscription status.

Events use persistent pseudonymous installation identifiers. Our backend hashes its installation identifier before storing events, but the resulting identifier still allows events from the same installation to be associated with one another.

Analytics providers and masked screen replay

Amplitude receives product analytics, app and device information, persistent user and device identifiers, and approximate location derived from the connection’s IP address. Device identifiers can include Apple’s identifier for vendor (IDFV). These identifiers allow activity from the same installation or device to be associated over time.

Amplitude Session Replay collects masked screen activity to help us understand app use. Replay is configured to mask text and exclude the name-entry, reflection, verse-note and History screens.

RevenueCat processes subscription purchases and entitlement information. The app shares its Amplitude identifiers with RevenueCat and associates the RevenueCat user identifier with analytics, so purchase activity can be linked to the same analytics profile.

The app also sends Apple Ads attribution events for acquisition measurement and updates Apple’s conversion measurement. The app and its configured services do not use this information for targeted advertising or advertising measurement across other companies’ apps and websites. No advertising-network or data-broker destinations are configured in the analytics or subscription services.

SDK diagnostics

Amplitude’s SDK diagnostics can send sampled crash reports, delivery counters and error information, together with technical app, device-model, operating-system and SDK details. This supports reliability and is separate from crash reports supplied by Apple.

Your analytics choice

Turning off Share analytics under Settings → Privacy stops new optional usage analytics and session replay. Previously queued events in our first-party analytics service can still be sent. Subscription purchases, entitlement processing and separately enabled SDK diagnostics continue to operate.

The statements above describe the Bible365 app. On this website, if you click Accept in the cookie banner, we use Amplitude, a third-party analytics service, to understand how the site is used. This includes masked session replay, a recording of how a page was used (scrolling, clicking) in which text you type is hidden. It sets a cookie and uses your browser's local storage to recognise a returning browser.

Amplitude collects the pages you view, what you click, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (derived from your IP address). It never collects text you type, the contents of forms, or documents. The support pages and the kids section are excluded from recording.

If you click Decline, Amplitude is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom left of any page. How long Amplitude keeps data is set by Amplitude's privacy policy.

Apple's services

Bible365 uses Apple-provided services for App Store delivery, notifications (APNs), and StoreKit subscription management. Apple may collect crash reports if you opt in via iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements. From Apple, we receive aggregated, anonymized crash data only.

Children

Bible365 does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account, profile, or any submission of personal information.
